Marion Voices, at present, is 100% project grant-funded. While that means we’re fortunate to have funds to carry out specific projects in our community, it also means that every penny we have access to is earmarked for specific project work … and that none of the critical, behind-the-scenes work required to grow & sustain our organization across our projects (from grant-writing to bookkeeping to fieldwork equipment to emergent COVID-19 mitigation supplies) is funded. Uh-Oh. Not ideal.

Building a robust general operating funds is critical to the long-term sustainability & growth of Marion Voices … & we invite you to make a contribution to help build capacity for this necessary work! Having general operating funds will help Marion Voices more nimbly & urgently respond to emergent community & organizational need: from furnishing narrator stipends for unexpected oral history opportunities to building a community oral history equipment library to purchasing additional portable HEPA filters for our school residency to getting a much-needed Adobe CreativeCloud subscription for our growing graphic design needs!
