PROJECT MEDIA

MARION VOICES ARCHIVE

Check this page often for uploads to our emerging digital archive of project documentary material. Eventually, this page will host the Marion Voices Folklife + Oral History program archive: audio, photographs, and video from our oral history interviews and folk/traditional arts documentation, across the county.

MARION VOICES: AUDIO ARCHIVE

For now, please enjoy these links to our Marion Voices SoundCloud Page, and a short summary video made from our Spring 2018 Marion Voices Folklife Survey — a part of our 2018-2019 Marion Voices Community Planning Process.

MARION VOICES: PHOTO ARCHIVE

Please enjoy our evolving photo gallery of Marion Voices documentary photographs. All photographs are taken by Project Director/Folklorist Jess Lamar Reece Holler, and do not permit derivative use or unacknowledged use without prior permission.

MINI-DOCUMENTARIES + INTERPRETIVE MEDIA

We also plan to produce short mini-documentaries and other interpretive pieces. Right now, we’re featuring our Spring 2019 Marion Voices Preliminary Folklife Survey Tour summary short, featuring music by the Mayes Community Temple Choir, Worship Team, and Youth Choir!

MARION VOICES CULTURE KEEPERS ROSTER

In Spring 2020, we will launch the Marion Voices Culture-Keepers Roster: a digital, searchable roster of folk, traditional, and culturally-based artists in Marion County, with descriptions of their work, genres, traditions, and how each artist or group learned their cultural art form.
